ADVERTISEMENT FOR THE POST OF INTERNAL AUDITOR I – NMC 5
Numerical Machining Complex Limited is a Semi-Autonomous Government Agency
established under the Companies Act Cap 486 Laws of Kenya. The company is
seeking to recruit a dynamic and experienced Auditor who is capable of carrying out
independent review and objective audits for the company in order to provide
assurance that the company internal control systems effectively and efficiently
support achievement of the company’s overall objectives.
JOB PROFILE
The role of the Internal Auditor I will include among others the following:-
a) The position holder will be responsible for the following:-
b) Undertake audit assignments and preparing detailed audit observations and
reports;
c) Carry out institutional risk evaluation, and efficiency audit;
d) Conduct financial and systems audit;
e) Participate in developing and updating internal audit manual;
f) Stocktaking and carrying out risk assessment, corruption risk assessment and
anti-corruption awareness activities.
PERSON PROFILE
a) Should be a person of high integrity and should meet the requirements of
Chapter Six of the Kenya Constitution and Article 232 on Values and Principles of
the Public Service.
b) Should have served in the grade of Internal Auditor II for at least four (4) years;
c) Have a Bachelors Degree in Commerce (Finance/Accounting/Auditing option),
Economics or its equivalent qualification from recognized institution.
d) Have a Certificate in Certified Public Accountant (CPA) II or three (III) parts of
Certified Internal Auditor Exams from a recognized institution;
e) Have a Certificate in Computer Application Skills; and
f) Have shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
