Physiotherapist – Job Grade KUTRRH 10, Ref. V/FT/20/2024 (4
Positions)
Job Purpose: The position holder is responsible for rehabilitating patients' physical problems caused
by illness, injury, disability, aging, and treatment, plans treatments, reviews recovery, and conducts
therapeutic exercises with patients.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Assessing and evaluating patients with neuro-musculo skeletal and cardio respiratory problems
and designing appropriate therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, electrotherapy and
hydrotherapy interventions as per the patients/clients formulated treatment plan at an
inpatient and outpatient unit/ward/hospital.
• Carrying out physical disability assessments for categorization, registration and other support.
• Providing health promotion and education to patients/clients on neuro musculoskeletal
disorders and health living.
• Preparing, verifying and maintaining information, records and progress reports relating to
patients.
• Keeping and maintaining inventory of equipment.
• Monitoring patient’s outcomes on Physiotherapy treatment.
• Sensitizing the clients on Physiotherapy issues.
• Collating, compiling and analyzing data for research.
• Any other duty as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications and Requirements
i. Diploma in Physiotherapy from a recognized institution.
ii. At least one (1) year relevant work experience in a busy Hospital.
iii. Current Practicing License from the Physiotherapy Council of Kenya (PCK).
iv. Knowledge of relevant legislations.
v. Knowledge of professional standards.
vi. Proven track record of research and training in a reputable institution.
vii. Proficiency in computer applications.
viii. Must fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.
