Registered Nurse III - Fifteen (15) Positions - Advert No. 06/2024/13
Salary Scale: Ksh. 50,000 p.m. Terms of service: Three (3) year contract
For appointment to this position a candidate must have;
i. Diploma in Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing, Kenya
Registered Nursing, Kenya Registered Midwifery, Kenya Registered
Nursing / Midwifery or Kenya Registered Nursing / Mental Health and
Psychiatry from a recognized institution;
ii. Registration Certificate from the Nursing Council of Kenya;
iii. Valid practicing license from Nursing Council of Kenya; and
iv. A certificate in computer applications.
Duties and Responsibilities
An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a Senior Officer.
Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:
i. Assessing, planning, implementing nursing interventions and evaluating
patient's outcomes;
ii. Providing appropriate healthcare service including Integrated
Management of Childhood Illnesses (IMCI), immunization, PMTCT,
Integrated Management of adulthood Illnesses (IMAI), ante-natal care and
delivery, providing health education and counselling to patients/clients
and community on identified health needs; Referring patients and clients
appropriately;
iii. Facilitating patients' admission and initiating discharge plans;
iv. Maintaining records on patients/client’s health condition and care;
v. Ensuring a tidy and safe clinical environment; and
vi. Collecting and compiling data.
