Job Description

Job Brief Overview:

We are looking for a Finance and Procurement Officer.This role will provide primary operational oversight and coordination of the Subcontract Management function for Feed Villages. As part of the role, they will collaborate with other project staff to ensure effective and efficient coordination from project startup to closeout.

A successful Finance and Procurement Officer will also provide accounting support to the project in collaboration with the finance and operations manager. .

Knowledge management::
•Oversee procurement management of commodities/goods/materials and services required for training workshops and other program activities.
• Perform all phases of sourcing activity while ensuring best value for money and within required lead times for a variety of requirements, including analysis of overall budgetary impact for all types of procurement transactions.
• Prepare and issue procurement solicitation documents (Request for Quotes, Request for Proposals or Invitation for Tenders) and negotiate for assigned procurements such as commodities/goods/materials, and services.
•Maintain digital archives, including policies and reports
• Collect and review reports and deliverables submitted by grant and subcontract recipients.
• Document results of grants and subcontracts performance monitoring and evaluation
• Collaborate with the Technical Lead to identify and manage risks and • participate in the resolution of any performance issues with subcontractors.
• Manage overall communication of Finance Department.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop and Maintain the HQ finance knowledge center.
• Update the training portfolio on SharePoint.
• Keep the learning strategy and supporting tools up to date.
• Ensure finance staff are trained in feedback and appraisal management
• Collaborate with unit heads to keep work plans current and support department activities and priorities.
• Update office policies as needed
• Participate in planning and monitoring the department’s budget.
• Contribute to the development and analysis of department management indicators and dashboards.
• Ensure all the administrative procedures for the hiring and onboarding of an intern are met
• Follow up of tasks and performance of the intern position, together with coordinators of each department.

Educational Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Procurement, Business Finance, Public Administration, Business Administration, Economics, Education in Business Management or other relevant discipline,
• Minimum of 2 years work experience in Financial support functions.
• Experience with a local or international NGO a plus.
• Experience and proficient skills in SAP, MS Office package (Excel, Word, PowerPoint,)
