Salary Scale: Kshs. 42,970 x 1920 – 44,890 x 2,000 – 46,890 x 2,110 – 49,000 x 2,170 – 51,170 x 2,550 – 53,720 x 2,650 – 56,370 x 2,750 – 59,120 p.m.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Evaluation, analysis and interpretation of monthly, quarterly and annual tourism reports and statistics
- Initiate intelligent surveys and research activities and preparing reports thereon, for establishing new tourism products and circuits
- Assist in preparation of background papers and briefs for domestic and international tourism promotion in liaison with relevant departments and institutions
- Plan and organize exhibitions and local shows
- Contact classification of hotels, restaurants and other tourists’ establishments
Qualifications
- Must have served in the county Government of Makueni in a similar position for a minimum period of six (6) years
- Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Tourism and Hospitality Management, Wildlife Enterprise Management, Tours and Travel Management, Eco-tourism Management from a recognized institution
- Relevant knowledge and experience in local tourism and hospitality industry
- Be computer literate
