CHIEF SUPERINTENDENT WATER AND SEWERAGE, JOB GROUP ‘M’ – TWO (2) POSTS

Salary Scale: Kshs. 49,000 x 2,170 – 51,170 x 2,550 – 53,720x 2,650 – 56,370 x 2,750
– 59,120 x 2,920 – 62,040 x 3,080 – 65,120 p.m.
Duties and Responsibilities
i. Ensuring availability of requirement of the operations and maintenance of water
supply.
ii. Preparing bill of quantities for water projects.
iii. Check the adherence to specification and standards
iv. Ensuring that works are progressing on schedule
v. Supervising complex water works
vi. Preparing water supply and sewerage programmes and
vii. Ensuring works are progressing on schedule.
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have;-
i. Served in the grade of senior superintendent (water and sewerage) for a
minimum period of three (3) years
ii. Three years certificate in technical training from a recognized institution;
OR
iii. Diploma in either water supply and technology or water engineering from
recognized institution
iv. Certificate in supervisory skills course lasting not less than two (2) weeks from
recognized institution.
v. Certificate in computer application from a recognized institution, and
vi. Demonstrated merit and shown ability as reflected in work performance and
results
