FISHERIES ASSISTANT II – TWO (2) POSITIONS – VACANCY NO. 02/2022/09
Basic Salary Scale: Ksh. 22,270 – Ksh. 30,020 p.m. (Job Group ‘G’)
Allowances as per the SRC circulars attached to the position.
Terms of service: Permanent and Pensionable
For appointment to this position, a candidate must:
i. Be a Kenyan Citizen;
ii. Have a Certificate in a course lasting not less than two (2) years in either
Fisheries Management, Natural Resource Management or equivalent and
relevant qualification from a recognized institution; and
iii. Be proficient in computer application skills.
Duties and Responsibilities
An officer at this level will work under the guidance of an experienced officer.
Duties and responsibilities will entail:
i. Participating in provision of fisheries extension services;
ii. Collecting fisheries statistical data;
iii. Maintaining fish farms and hatcheries; and
iv. Assisting in ensuring hygienic fish landing sites, market and farms.
