Job Description

The Position:
Reporting to the Finance Business Partner, Support, this role is responsible for supporting in the bank-wide budgetary control function and optimizing cost savings.

Key Responsibilities:
• Preparation of monthly operating cost performance reports & efficiency KPIs including insights and commentaries for all support functions.
• Support head office functions in annual financial planning and budgeting processes.
• Ensure Daily reporting needs are met through the Business Intelligence Tool and EPBCS.
• Provide all analytics support required by the Relevant Business Heads including but not limited to tactical data loads required in wave (Bank’s strategy follow through system).
• Develop and maintain Divisions Operating and Capital Expense scorecards, deep dive on adverse variances and highlight key weak areas needing improvement.
• Tracking of cost savings initiatives and recommend improvements.
• Manage overall financial MIS needs for head office functions and advise on any data gaps that need to be addressed by the BI, EPBCS and Oracle Teams.
• Support in development of annual budgets and financial planning for Head office units and subsidiary companies.
• Monitor automated daily IPR, LPO and funds check reports and prepare end month forecasts with action plans and follow through of the same using clearly defined escalation matrix.
• Development of financial models for new business initiatives, capital projects and Project Post Implementation Reviews (PIR’s).
• Draft cost optimization opportunities and review expenses outputs from Oracle and EPBCS to track implementation.
• Support the Finance Partner in tracking Strategy KPIs and evaluating business initiative impacts.
• Support the Finance Partner in improving procure to pay process with aim of continuous improvement on efficiencies and robustness.
• Support the Finance Partner in improving engagements and customer service matters within the designated Divisions, Businesses and Entities.
• Support in development of Annual budgets and financial planning for Head office units and Subsidiaries
• Serve as a first point of contact for branches and head offices functions for queries related to budgets and expense performance.
• Continuously review and recommend improvements to the cost allocation methodology.

The Person:
For the above position, the successful applicant should have the following:
• A Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Finance or Accounting) or other related Business degree or Bachelor of Arts (Economics) or Bachelor of Science in Mathematics or Engineering field from a recognized university.
• Fully qualified in CPA (K)/ ACCA (UK) or equivalent qualification.
• 4 years relevant work experience in Financial Analysis and Performance Management in a financial services sector.
• Exceptional relationship management skills.
• Understanding of risk management practices & compliance measures.
