JOB REFERENCE: ACA/ SLO/5 (1 post) ONE-YEAR CONTRACT (Basic salary range Kshs. 98,958 – Kshs. 129,480)
Job Specification
The Senior Legal Officer is responsible to the Principal Legal Officer for: -
a. Co-ordinating the implementing the provisions of all the legislations administered by the Authority;
b. Facilitating out of court settlement between parties in a counterfeit matter;
c. Reviewing legal documents/instruments;
d. Preparing opinions and briefs papers and memoranda;
e. Providing legal advice;
f. Attending court on behalf of the Authority; and
g. Perform any other duty as may be assigned by the management.
Person Specifications
For appointment to the grade of Senior Legal Officer, a person must have: -
a. Bachelor of Laws degree from a recognized institution;
b. Must be an advocate of the High Court of Kenya in good standing;
c. A minimum period of four (4) years relevant cumulative work experience;
d. Proficiency in computer applications; and
e. Fulfil the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution
