Qualifications (Education, Skills and Experience)
1. Master’s Degree in Food Production/Food and Beverage Service/Hospitality
2.Management or relevant area from recognized Institution.
3. A minimum of 3 years’ experience as Deputy Catering Manager or in a recognized University.
4. Must be computer literate.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Responsible for the smooth operation of the Department
2. Maintain discipline and high standard of courtesy in all the staff responsible to him/her, particularly where relations to the students are concerned.
3. Maintain consistently high standards of service and the expected quality of food.
4. Overall management of the department in planning, policy formulation and implementation.
5. Responsible for staff matters within the department.
6. Responsible for procurement of stores for the department.
7. Responsible for formulation and implementation of departmental strategic plan.
8. Responsible for formulation, planning and control of the departmental budget.
9. Advise the University Management on Catering and related issues
10. Any other duties as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.
