POSITION: TRADE DEVELOPMENT OFFICER JOB GROUP CPSB 10
Number of Posts: Three (3) Posts
Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable
Basic Salary Scale: As provided for by the Salaries and Remunerations Commission
Duties and responsibilities
An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a Senior Officer. Specific duties and
responsibilities will entail;
1. Collecting and compiling economic and trade related data;
2. Disseminating trade information to the business community;
3. Compiling recovery of loans owed to the Joint Loans Board (JBL);
4. Facilitating international trade promotion activities through trade fairs and exhibitions;
and,
5. Participating in the implementation of trade related development projects
Requirements for Appointment
1. Be a Kenyan Citizen;
1. Bachelor's degree in any of the following disciplines: Commerce, Marketing, Business
Administration, Business Management, Entrepreneurship, International
Trade/Business/Relations or its equivalent from a recognized institution;
2. Certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution; and,
3. Demonstrate a high degree of professional competence, managerial capabilities and
initiatives in organization and management as reflected in work performance and results.
