SENIOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER, JOB GRADE KDC 5 (2 Posts)
(a) Job purpose
The Senior Business Development Officer will be responsible for origination of new business
opportunities and provision of advisory services to ensure sustainability of the established
businesses. They will also be responsible for developing policies and strategies for business
development.
(b) Job Specification
Duties and responsibilities will entail;
i. Develop business and marketing plans in collaboration with other departments to achieve
revenue goals.
ii. Ensures continuous Identification of potential business investment opportunities for
KDC.
iii. Analyze the product deficiencies in order to provide recommendations for problem
resolution.
iv. Promotes KDC’s brand image to the general public.
v. Participates in business development activities.
vi. Undertake corporate and product promotional programs
vii. Assess effectiveness of various product distribution channels
(c) Person Specification
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -
i. Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following fields, Business, Finance, Commerce, Economics,
Marketing or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution;
ii. At least four years work experience
iii. Supervisory course lasting not less than two (2) weeks
iv. Proficiency in computer applications; and
v. Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
