SENIOR LEGAL OFFICER, JG “N” 1 POST V/No. 59/2020
Salary Scale: Kshs.56,370x2750-59,120x2,920-62,040x3,080-65,120x3,440-68,560 x 3,590- 72,150x3,790-75,940x3,80079,740x3,810-83,550x3,810-87,360 p.m.
Terms of Employment: Permanent and Pensionable.
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail: - Undertaking research on assigned
legal issues; analyzing research data and compiling reports; preparing preliminary legal
documents/instruments; and liaising with the Office of the County Attorney and advising
on various legal policy issues.
Requirements for Appointment
(i) Served in a busy organization for a minimum period of three (3) years;
(ii) Bachelor of Law (LL.B) degree from a recognized university;
(iii) Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Studies from the Council of Legal Education;
(iv) Proficiency in computer applications; and
(v) Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
(vi) Demonstrated administrative and professional competence in work
performance;
(vii) Meets the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010.
