Basic Salary Scale: Kshs. 25,470 x 1,070 – 26,580 x 1,080 – 27,700 x 1,110 – 28,850 x 1,130 – 30,020 x 1,200 – 31,270 x 1,260 – 32,570 x 1,330 – 33,950 p.m.
Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable
Duties and Responsibilities
i.Determine specifications of medical equipment to be procured;
ii.Determine the equipment needs in the facilities;
iii.Assist in procuring medical equipment and installation;
iv.Safeguarding and maintaining medical equipment; and
v.Assist in obtaining spare parts servicing medical equipment in the facilities.
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:
i.Have a Diploma in Medical Engineering from a recognized institution or equivalent qualification from recognized institution;
ii.Be registered with the Association of Medical Engineers of Kenya; and
iii.Knowledge of good clinical laboratory practice.
