DEPUTY DIRECTOR, METROPOLITAN DEVELOPMENT – THREE (3) POSTS –
V/NO. 135 /2023
Basic Salary Scale: Ksh.102,860 – Ksh.172,350 p.m. (CSG 6)
House Allowance: Ksh.20,000 – Ksh.50,000 p.m.
Commuter Allowance: Ksh.16,000 p.m.
Leave Allowance: As provided in the Civil Service
Annual Leave: 30 working days
Medical Cover: As provided by the Government
Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: -
(i) served for a period of ten (10) years, one (1) of which should have been in the grade
of Assistant Director, Metropolitan Development, CSG 7 or in a comparable
relevant position in the wider public service;
(ii) a Bachelors Degree in any of the following disciplines: Urban and Regional
Planning, Land Economics, Building Economics, Construction Management,
Quality Survey, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Environment Planning and
Management, Civil Engineering , Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering,
electrical Engineering, Land Survey and Photogrammetry, Geospatial
Engineering, GIS, Urban Design, Sociology, psychology, Social Development or
any other equivalent qualifications from a university recognized in Kenya;
