Duties and responsibilities;
Dispense drugs/medicines to patients under supervision of a senior officer.
Receive, interpret, and process prescriptions,
Record prescriptions in a pharmacy unit;
pre-package, repack and write instructions on labels,
Counsel patients on usage of drugs in a pharmacy unit;
Maintain drug registers/books; and
Stock-take of drugs and medicinal devices on monthly basis.
Any other duties to be assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements for the appointment
Must be a Kenyan citizen.
Diploma in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Technology or equivalent qualification approved by the
Pharmacy and Poisons Board from a recognized institution;
Registration certificate by Pharmaceutical Technologist by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board
(PPB);
Certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution
