JOB ADVERTISEMENT FOR THE POSITION OF A CHIEF DRIVER (ONE POSITION)
JOB REF NO. MIC/020/2023
Terms of Service-contract for a term of five (5) years and may be eligible for
reappointment subject to acceptable performance.
Duties & Responsibilities
i. Driving office vehicles for the transport of authorized personnel;
ii. Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicle, check oil, water,
battery, brakes, tires etc., performs minor repairs and arranges for other repairs;
iii. Detecting and reporting malfunctioning of vehicles systems, maintenance of work tickets
for vehicles;
iv. Ensuring security of the vehicles;
v. Overseeing safety of the passengers;
vi. Ensuring that in the event of an accident, rules/policies and traffic regulations are
followed;
vii. Maintaining cleanliness of the assigned vehicle;
viii. Any other duties as may be assigned.
REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT
i. Be a Kenyan citizen;
ii. Holder of Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education or KCE Division IV or Kenya Certificate
of Primary Education plus 2 year’s relevant experience;
iii. Pass suitability test for driver grade;
iv. Holder of a valid driving license;
v. At least two (2) years driving experience;
vi. Fulfil the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
