The Coast Institute of Technology wishes to recruit a dynamic, result oriented, and self- motivated professional for the vacant position below COLLEGE LIBRARIAN: JOB GROUP CIT 10 PERMANENT AND PENSIONABLE.
REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT
1. Be a Kenya citizen.
2. Be in possession of a minimum grade of KCSE C - or its equivalent. 3. Degree in Library and Information studies or its equivalent
4. Minimum 3 years relevant experience.
5. Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suites
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY
1. Cataloguing and classifying library material
2. Maintaining and coordinating book selection with teaching department 3. Provide feedback on selection made by teaching department
4. Maintaining and distribution accession lists
5. Registering and compiling user profiles
6. Compiling journal holdings.
7. Compiling user statistics.
8. Charging and implementing fines on over-dues, losses and damages 9. Supervising of staff under the section.
