Job Description

Job Purpose
As an entry level driver position reporting to the Transport Manager, the incumbent shall be responsible for transporting staff and CBK visitors in a safe and timely manner.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
1. Drive Bank’s passengers and any other authorized passengers to approved destinations in a safe and timely manner.
2. Execute daily work instructions in accordance with the work schedules in the Transport Office.
3. Ensure compliance with the CBK transport operating procedures, traffic laws and regulations.
4. Deliver vehicles for scheduled and ad-hoc repairs and maintenance at the Bank’s appointed garages and arrange collection upon completion of the job.
5. Prompt reporting of accidents and incidents to the immediate supervisor.
6. Daily vehicle inspections and prompt reporting of any malfunction or defects that need attention to the immediate supervisor.
7. Punctuality in reporting to work and maintaining general cleanliness of vehicles assigned.
8. Ability to maintain and care for vehicle work ticket(s) for vehicle(s) assigned.
9. Maintenance of good working relationships with internal and external and external clients.
10. Ensure security and safety of the vehicle, passengers and/or goods therein.

Qualifications
1. Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with a mean grade of C- (minus) and above.
2. Valid driving license for the following vehicle categories B, C1, & D2. Possession of a license to operate other vehicle categories D3 and G will be a significant advantage.
3. A First Aid Certificate Certification from a recognized institution will be an added advantage.

Work Experience
At least three (3) years driving experience.
Experience in Defensive Driving.
