Job Description
The manager at this level will be answerable to the Managing Director.
Job descriptions
(i) Developing policies and strategies for the department;
(ii) Ensure efficient billing, revenue collection, disbursements, accounting and reporting;
(iii) Making revisions to the tariff charged to the consumer’s subject to approval of water
services Regulatory Board and ensuring proper implementation of the same;
(iv) Advising the Managing Director on the financial viability of the Company;
(v) To improve the quality and effectiveness of services provided by the Company through
advocacy and sensitization workshops to the Consumers;
(vi) Enter into partnership or any arrangement directly or indirectly for the benefit of the
Company and that of the consumers;
(vii) Authorizing closure of accounts as per the approved procedures and policies.
Job Specifications
(i) Bachelor degree in: Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business
Management, Business Administration or its equivalent.
(ii) Certified Public Accountant - CPA (K)
(iii) 5 years of relevant experience with (2) years in a supervisory role.
(iv) Membership to a professional body will be an added advantage.
(v) Computer literacy.
(vi) Meet the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya on Leadership
and Integrity.
