WATER QUALITY OFFICER JOB GRADE LVSWWDA 6 – REF:
LVSWWDA/WQO/2024/06 – (1 POST)
a) Job Specification
The duties and responsibilities at this level will entail assisting in: -
i. Carrying out all water quality and pollution control activities;
ii. Carrying out water quality and pollution control analysis and prepare reports;
iii. Liaising with other institutions on water quality and pollution control;
iv. maintenance of scientific instruments;
v. Supervision, evaluation and co-ordination of laboratory work;
vi. Testing, standardization and development of laboratory working techniques and
Advising clients on possible remedial and correct uses of materials under test;
vii. Supervising, guiding, training and development of junior staff working under
him/her.
viii. Monitor compliance of discharges to set national regulations and standards.
b) Person Specification
i. Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or any other equivalent from a recognized
institution;
ii. Membership of a relevant professional Body;
iii. Proficiency in relevant computer applications;
