VOCATIONAL AND TECHNICAL TRAINER-COMMUNICATION
(ENGLISH/GERMANY): TWO (2) POSTS: V/NO. TVET/46/2024
Basic Salary Scale: Ksh.39,700 – Ksh.52,960 p.m. (CSG 10/Job Group ‘K’)
House Allowance: Ksh.16,500 – Ksh.8,133 p.m.
Commuter Allowance: Ksh.5,000 p.m.
Leave Allowance: Ksh.6,000 p.a.
Annual Leave: 30 working days p.a.
Medical Cover: As provided by the Government
Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -
(i) a Bachelor of Education degree in Communication (English/Germany) or a Bachelor
Degree/Higher National Diploma in Communication (English/Germany) and a Diploma
in Education or an Advanced Diploma in Education or a Post Graduate Diploma in
Education from a recognized Institution or a Bachelor Degree/Higher National Diploma
in Communication (English/Germany) or equivalent qualification from a recognized
Institution;
(ii) must be accredited and licensed by TVET Authority or registrable by TVETA; and
(iii)be a member of a relevant professional body, where applicable.
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities at this level will include:-
(i) undertaking training in areas of specialization in accordance with the syllabus;
(ii) preparing teaching/learning materials and schemes of work;
(iii) setting and marking examination/assignment;
(iv) carrying out research work under the guidance and supervision of a senior trainer; and
(v) supervising trainees’ projects and practical work
