RESEARCH AND QUALITY ASSURANCE OFFICER, KNEC GRADE 7 (6 POSTS)
a) Job Specifications
The duties and responsibilities of the officer will entail:
(i) Identifying problems/areas for possible research;
(ii) Drafting proposals for research studies;
(iii) Inducting personnel to be involved in the various activities of the research studies;
(iv) Development of instruments for data collection;
(v) Validation of instruments and compiling validation reports;
(vi) Training of data collectors;
(vii) Security printing and storage of data collection instruments;
(viii) Drawing work plans and budgets for research studies;
(ix) Participating in data collection, entry, cleaning and analysis;
(x) Report writing and dissemination of findings and recommendations to stakeholders;
(xi) Carry out quality checks on the research procedures
b) Person Specifications
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:
(i) Bachelor's degree in any of the following disciplines: Education, Economics,
Mathematics, Statistics, Planning, Project Management, or its equivalent
qualification from a recognized institution;
(ii) Proficiency in computer applications.
(iii) Fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution only for the successful
applicants.
