Description

In line with enhancing career progression of staff and to support business growth, we seek to recruit a qualified, experienced, self-driven, highly motivated and passionate candidate to fill the following position in Credit Department.

Brief Description of the Role
The DRU officer will support the business to achieve its Asset Quality goals and objectives by use of effective & efficient credit practices. He/she will ensure consistent follow-up of all delinquent accounts in line the CBK prudential guideline and the Banks policies and procedures. Works closely with management towards achievement of organization goals and objective. He/she will reports to DRU sector Team Leader.

Key Responsibilities
• Implement the sector collection strategy
• Persistently and consistently contact customers to ensure collection of delinquent accounts
• Timely issuance of the relevant notices to the customers
• Receive, resolve or cascade customer complaints
• Prepare and submit daily, or monthly collection report to the management
• Engage service providers by instructing them to Repossess, Debt collect, Investigate, Prepare Valuation reports and conduct auctions in line with the bank policy and procedures
• Ensure adherence to legal and company policies and procedures
• Advice and recommend to the management the best practice that will lead to achievement of the organisation goal and objective
• Identifying the risk and advising the business on the appropriate remedial measures
• Any other duty assigned by management

Academic Qualifications
• University degree from a well-recognized University
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in credit department
• Professional qualification in debt management will be an added advantage
• Average rating of 3.0 in the last appraisal
