Duties and responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:
• Implementing nutrition programmes
• Providing nutrition services in health care facilities
• Conducting nutrition assessments, collecting compiling nutrition data;
• Providing nutrition health education and demonstrations
• Counselling of patients with specific nutritional needs;
• Monitoring preparation of therapeutic feeds
• Implementation outpatient and impatient supplementary and therapeutic feeling programmes
• Promoting maternal infant and young children feeding programmes and providing micronutrient supplementation;
Requirements for Appointment
• Be a Kenyan citizen.
• Diploma in community Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition or Nutrition and Dietetics from a recognized institution.
• Registration by the Council of the Institute of Nutrition and Dietetics (CIND)
• Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution;
• Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
• Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the constitution of Kenya 2010.
