LABORATORY TECHNOLOGIST III – ONE (1) POSITION –VACANCY
NO.03/2022/04
Basic Salary Scale: Kshs. 25,470 – Ksh. 33,950 p.m. (Job Group ‘H’)
Allowances as per SRC Circulars attached to the position.
Terms of Employment: Permanent and Pensionable.
For appointment to this position a candidate must: -
i. Be a Kenyan Citizen;
ii. Have a Diploma in any of the following fields: Applied Sciences
(Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Biology), Food
Science and Technology, Medical Laboratory Technology, Building/Civil
Engineering Earth or Sciences Biotechnology from a recognized
institution; and
iii. Be proficient in computer applications.
Duties and Responsibilities
An officer at this level will work under the supervision and guidance of a more
senior and experienced officer. Duties and responsibilities will entail:
i. Sampling and analyzing water, geological, industrial sediments and waste
water samples for testing of chemical and bacteriological levels;
ii. Preparing culture media and reagents;
iii. Preparing sampling containers and equipment; and
iv. Recording of laboratory reports.
