YOUTH POLYTECHNIC INSTRUCTORS (2 POSTS)
Terms of Service: Three (3) years contract
No. of positions: 2
Area of specialization: Phone Repair and Electronics
Duties and Responsibilities
- Theoretical and practical instruction of trainees in the specified area of specialization.
- Preparing and maintaining professional documents including schemes of work.
- Preparing lesson plans, lesson notes, and trainee records, teaching and learning materials, carrying out trainee assessments
- Ensuring proper care and maintenance of tools and equipment
- Organizing and conducting co-curricular activities
- Maintaining trainee discipline and offering guidance and counseling to trainees
- Any other lawful duty as assigned by the immediate supervisor from time to time
Requirements for Appointment
- Diploma holders in specified Technical field
- Possess KCSE qualification or its equivalent
- Teaching experience of at least 2 years in a vocational training institution or its equivalent
- Diploma in Technical Education or ToT Certificate will be an added advantage
- Computer literacy will also be an added advantage
