A. PURPOSE
The Senior Records Management Officer will be responsible for: management of the Boards records;filing, archiving and retrieving of the Boards records; indexing and updating;in charge of retention, preservation and destruction of the Boards records.

B.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities of the officer will entail: -
i. Developing and ensuring implementation of records management policies and procedures;
ii. Ensuring security of files and information;
iii. Ensuring proper handling of documents,pending correspondences and bring ups;
iv. Preparing disposal schedules in accordance with relevant government laws and regulations;
v. Ensuring classification and indexing of records;
vi. Ensuring effective mail management; and
vii. Maintaining, verifying and evaluating existing records management system.

C. PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
For appointment to this grade, an officer must: -
i. Have a minimum of four (4) years relevant work experience;
ii. Have Bachelors Degree in Information Science Management, Records Management, Social Sciences or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
iii. Be registered with the relevant professional body;
iv. Fulfil the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
v. Supervisory course lasting not less than two (2) weeks

D. KEY COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS
For consideration for the position, the candidate must demonstrate that they have:
i. Proficiency in Computer application
ii. Organizational skills
iii. Communication skills

F. CONDITIONS FOR APPLICATION
. i. Successful candidates will be required to satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya and will therefore be required to provide the following documents;
· Clearance certificates from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB),
· Valid Tax Compliance certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA),
· Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations ;
· Clearance certificate from a Credit Reference Bureau (CRB);
· Clearance from the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission.
ii. Canvassing will lead to automatic disqualification.
