Men End FGM is looking for a finance assistant to assist with financial management and reporting for the organisation. The responsibilities of this role include accurately recording financial transactions, monitoring financial records, and ensuring compliance with the organization’s financial policies and procedures. This position requires proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, as well as advanced Excel and QuickBooks skills.
This role will be based at our headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya.

Key Responsibilities:
• Recording Financial Transactions – Enter and maintain accurate financial data in QuickBooks, as well as reconcile daily, monthly, and yearly transactions.
• Financial Reporting – Using QuickBooks, prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports, including balance sheets, income and expense statements.
• Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets.
• Assist in the preparation of donor financial reports, ensuring adherence to donor reporting criteria and timelines.
• Assist in the preparation of payroll and other regular payments with due consideration of deductions (for advances, loans, taxes, etc.).
• Review and process office supplies and staff expenses ensuring adherence to Men End FGM Foundation policies and procedures.
• Assist in the management of accounts payable and receivable, including the processing of vendor invoices and the coordination of payments with suppliers.
• Use QuickBooks to perform frequent bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and discovering discrepancies.
• Assist in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with financial regulations, laws, and organizational policies.
• Collaborate with the Men End FGM team to provide support in financial matters.
• Maintain an organised and comprehensive financial record filing system to ensure easy access and retrieval of documents when needed.
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned by your supervisor.
