Terms of Service – Permanent and Pensionable
Basic Salary – Kshs. 99,900 p.m. (min) – Kshs. 133,870 p.m. (max)
House Allowance – Kshs. 20,000 p.m.
Commuter Allowance – Kshs. 16,000 p.m.
Doctor’s Allowance – As per the Current SRC Guidelines
Medical Cover – Comprehensive Medical Cover
a) Requirements for Appointment
A master’s Degree in Orthopedic Surgery from a recognized Institution
A Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery (MBCHB); and
A KCSE grade that qualifies for admission to MBCHB.
b) Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct Weekly Orthopedic Outpatient Clinics;
Conduct Weekly Major Ward rounds;
Conduct Orthopedic related Surgical Operations (Weekly rounds);
Respond to Orthopedic related Emergencies;
Interpret Diagnostic Tests such as CT Scans, MRIs, X-Rays etc;
Prescribe and Administer Medications as appropriate;
Supervise and Train Junior Doctors, Interns and Medical Students;
Keep and Update Patients’ Medical Record/Notes;
Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Medical Team.
