Job Description

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Project Manager to lead the implementation of health and safety systems within our Client’s global manufacturing company. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety and well-being of our Client’s employees across various locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Project Management, a deep understanding of health and safety regulations, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership:
• Plan, execute, and monitor the end-to-end implementation of Health and Safety systems across multiple manufacturing sites globally.
• Develop a comprehensive project plan, outlining tasks, timelines, resources, and milestones.
• Lead project kick-off meetings and maintain regular communication with stakeholders to ensure alignment and progress tracking.

Health and Safety Expertise:
• Stay up-to-date with global health and safety regulations and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with internal and external experts to design systems that meet or exceed compliance requirements.
• Identify potential risks and hazards within manufacturing processes and propose effective mitigation strategies.

Cross-functional Collaboration:
• Work closely with Department Heads, Site Managers, and HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) teams to gather requirements and ensure successful system integration.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless integration of health and safety systems with existing technology infrastructure.

Resource Management:
• Allocate resources effectively to ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget.
• Coordinate with HR to provide necessary training to employees for using the new health and safety systems.

Change Management:
• With guidance and support of the project change manager, develop and execute change management strategies to ensure smooth adoption of new health and safety systems.
• Address employee concerns and provide clear communication regarding the benefits and importance of the implemented systems.

Reporting and Documentation:
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, risk assessments, and progress reports.
• Provide regular updates to senior management on project status, highlighting achievements and potential challenges.
• Build strong relationships and communication channels with stakeholders across different countries and cultures. Understand their needs, expectations, and project requirements.

Quality Assurance:
• Implement quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of health and safety systems.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track project progress, quality, and outcomes. Prepare regular reports and presentations summarizing project status, achievements, challenges, and lessons learned.
• Conduct audits and evaluations to identify areas for improvement and optimization.

Qualifications and Experience
• Proven track record in successfully managing complex projects, preferably within the manufacturing or industrial sector.
• Certification in project management (PMP, PRINCE2) and/or health and safety (NEBOSH, OSHA) is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of global health and safety regulations and compliance standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in project management tools and software.
