Terms of Service: Permanent
Basic Salary Scale: As provided for by the Salaries and Remunerations Commission

Duties and Responsibilities
i. Giving theoretical and practical instruction in the area of specialization to trainees
ii. Preparing and maintaining schemes of work, lesson plan ,lesson notes, trainees records
teaching and learning materials
iii. Administering examinations, evaluation and preparing trainee progress reports
iv. Ensuring proper care and maintenance of tools and equipment
v. Organizing and conducting co-curricular activities
vi. Maintaining trainees discipline
vii. Guiding and counseling trainees
viii. Preparation of departmental budgets
ix. Supervising projects and income generating activities
x. Coordinating and supervising trainees on industrial attachment and field work
xi. Monitoring and evaluating NITA and NVCET training programmes
xii. Answerable to the manager
xiii.Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the manager

Requirements for Appointment
i. Be a Kenyan Citizen
ii. Be a holder of a Bachelors Degree in Entrepreneurship and small enterprise management,
Business Management or its relevant approved equivalent
iii. Relevant working experience as a tutor or instructor will be a desirable working
experience
iv. Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results
v. Certificate of computer applications
