Duties and responsibilities;
Reporting to Engineer I water
Carry out feasibility studies, planning, survey and designing water supply
infrastructures;
Carry out research activities in various aspects of water;
Production of detailed technical designs and reports for the surveyed works;
Production of technical design drawings;
Maintaining an awareness of current environmental issues
Interpretation of complex water and sewerage works designs;
Measurements of work done and Preparation of payment certificates
Supervise construction of water works undertaken directly or by contract;
Ensure professional standards and undertaking quality control during
construction of water supply infrastructure
Monitor and evaluate of physical and financial progress of development projects
and programs.
Requirements for the appointment
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Water Engineering, Soil, and Environmental
Engineering or;
Diploma in Water Engineering from Kenya National Examinations Council or relevant and
equivalent qualification from recognized Institution;
Technical understanding of water infrastructure;
Practical knowledge on survey using GPS, Theodolite, Total station/ or Real Time Kinematic;
Proficiency in Computer Aided Designs;
Ability to plan and prioritize field assignment;
Member of Institute of Engineers of Kenya;
Certificate in Computer Applications.
