The Agricultural Society of Kenya (A.S.K) is a non-profit organization focused on
organizing exhibitions and promoting technology innovation, research, and development
in agriculture, trade, and allied sectors. We are currently seeking results-driven and
highly motivated individuals to join our Team in the following positions:
Regional Marketing and Sales Representatives – Ref S&M/ASK/01
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement Marketing and Sales Strategies to achieve regional
targets.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned region.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners.
Conduct market research and analysis to identify market trends, customer needs,
and competitor activities.
Execute promotional campaigns and activities to increase brand awareness and
drive sales.
Monitor and analyze sales and marketing performance indicators for improvement.
Provide guidance and support to sales and marketing teams in the region.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective implementation of
initiatives.
Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in sales and marketing.
Generate reports and present findings and recommendations to management.
Drive growth and expansion of products, exhibitors, sponsors, and advertisers.
Optimize utilization of Showgrounds during off-show periods.
Achieve objectives in product availability, volume, and customer pricing.
Build strong relationships with Stakeholders across the specified region(s).
Coordinate regional activities to meet business growth targets.
Monitor industry trends and recommend business development strategies.
Provide input on marketing programs and forecasts to support business goals.
Stay updated on economic, business, and regulatory trends and assess their impact.
Perform any other assigned duties.
Personal Specifications:
Education and Experience: A bachelor's degree in business administration,
marketing, or a related field is typically required. Relevant work experience in
Marketing and Sales, preferably in a regional or territory-based role, is highly
valued.
Marketing and Sales Skills: Strong knowledge and understanding of sales
and marketing principles, strategies, and techniques. Proficiency in market
analysis, customer segmentation, product positioning, and competitive
analysis.
Leadership Abilities: Effective leadership skills to manage and motivate a
sales team, often spread across multiple regions. Ability to set sales targets,
track performance, and drive results.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written
communication skills to effectively convey sales and marketing messages to
clients, team members, and other stakeholders. Strong interpersonal skills to
build and maintain relationships with customers and internal departments.
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Proficiency in data analysis and
interpretation to identify sales trends, market opportunities, and potential
challenges. Ability to develop strategic plans and execute effective solutions to
achieve sales and marketing goals.
Adaptability and Flexibility: Willingness to travel frequently within the
assigned Region and adapt to different market dynamics and customer needs.
Ability to handle changing priorities and work under pressure to meet
deadlines.
Business Acumen: Strong business acumen and understanding of the industry,
market trends, and customer preferences. Ability to identify new business
opportunities and develop strategies to increase market share and revenue.
Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with sales and marketing tools, CRM
(Customer Relationship Management) systems, and data analysis software.
Ability to leverage technology to enhance sales and marketing effectiveness.
