Reporting To: Housekeeping Manager
Office Location: Gelian Hotel, Machakos
Background: Semara Hotels is a sister Hotel to Gelian Hotel. Semara Hotel is located in Machakos, Mwatu wa Ngoma Street opposite Machakos County Commissioner Office. We are seeking highly motivated, honest and dedicated team player to join our growing business.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Providing professional swimming activities and include coaching and teaching swimming classes to guests
2. Maintaining constant surveillance of members in the swimming pool; acts immediately and appropriately to secure safety of members in the event of emergency.
3. Providing first aid care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services.
4. Always presenting a professional appearance and attitude and maintains a high standard of customer service.
5. Performing various maintenance duties as directed to maintain a clean and safe facility.
6. Provide professional swimming activities that include coaching, teaching classes and program design to United Nations Recreation Centre members and or guests.
7. Carrying out swimming lessons for both members and non-members.
8. Double-checking that the administrative assistants at the reception reserve swimming lesson bookings correctly.
9. Promoting swimming lessons to both members and non-members for purposes of increasing sales.
10. Recording all the services rendered to members for purposes of accountability.
11. Have a client database or profile in his/her record.
12. Advice clients on swimming related matters.
13. Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. High School Certificate/Diploma is required.
2. Certificate in swimming training, lifeguarding is required.
3. CPR/first aid Certified is required.
4. Certificate/Diploma in lifeguarding and swimming instructor or related qualifications is required.
5. A minimum of two years' experience in a reputable organization / setting offering fitness or related services is required.
6. Foreign languages are an added advantage.
7. Fluency in oral and written English is required.
