Job Summary
Reporting to General Manager, Geothermal Development, the job holder is responsible for the following duties and responsibilities: -

Duties and Responsibilities
i. Development, repair and maintenance of civil structures and infrastructures
ii. Facilitating design of civil structures and infrastructure, contract management and administration
iii. Initiation of project activities, such as plan preparation, acceptance testing, and evaluation of field conditions.
iv. Overseeing inspection of projects, feasibility studies and supervision of external consultants and contractors to ensure conformance to design specifications and applicable codes
v. Maintenance of civil works in power plant facilities.
vi. Coordinate construction of well pads
vii. Supervise construction of access roads within business areas and maintenance of the same
viii. Contract negotiation and participation during design and commissioning of new projects
ix. Monitor and control availability of plant and equipment.
Person Specifications
i. Minimum relevant experience of twelve (12) years with at least four (4) years in a management role
ii. Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering/construction management or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution
iii. Certificate in Leadership
iv. Membership of the Institute of Engineers of Kenya (IEK)
v. Registered with Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK) as a Professional Engineer
vi. Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the constitution
vii. Post Graduate diploma/ MSc. in engineering or Management will be an advantage;
viii. Must possess –Leadership, teamwork and motivational skills.
