Job Description

Purpose of the Job
To ensure technical support for all staff within the Sacco and support the implementation of
the ICT Strategy in the Society.

Duties and Responsibilities
I. Operational Roles and Responsibilities
i. Administration of the Society ICT system
ii. Responsible for the management of the Society’s network
iii. Responsible for the management of the society electronic data, profiles, mails and files
iv. Responsible for the supervision of network development work
v. Develop C/AL or AL software code from technical specifications.
vi. Provide user support and technical guidance on ICT system issues
vii. Advising and guiding users on ICT requests and proposed purchase of ICT related
items
viii. Participate in formulating and implementing in-house ICT systems in liaison with
user departments while ensuring security, approved standards and documentation of such
systems are observed
ix. Advising the Society on new techniques and technology to adapt
x. Performing system upgrades if and when required
xi. Generating ICT report monthly and upon request
xii. Representing the Sacco’s ICT department in ICT meeting or ICT related issues
II. Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Job Specifications
a. Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
b. Skills Required
• Practical experience building and managing virtual infrastructures e.g VMwares
• Experience in Microsoft Dynamics NAV/Business Central C/SIDE / AL Extension
• Technical knowledge of networking installation.
• Technical knowledge of hardware installation.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
• Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of developing systems in the financial sector.
• Ability to think creatively and innovatively.
c. Minimum Experience Required
• Minimum Four (4) years’ experience in a similar set up
