V/NO. 7/2021: COUNTY ENERGY OFFICER JOB GROUP ‘J’ (1 POST)
Duties and responsibilities:-
a) Participating in collection, collation and analysis of data on renewable energy
activities;
b) Participating in renewable energy technologies, energy efficiency and
conservation demonstrations and extension activities,
c) Participating in preparation of technical reports.
d) disseminating renewable energy information; and
e) Promoting renewable energy
f) In charge of energy matters in the county
g) Ensuring conformity with laws regulating energy matters
Requirements for appointment: -
a) A candidate must be in possession of Bachelors’ degree in any of the following
disciplines: Renewable Energy, Physics/Physical Sciences, Forestry, Environmental
Sciences, or equivalent qualifications from a recognized University.
b) Registration by Professional bodies and possession of a current practicing license will
be an added advantage.
c) Certificate in Computer Applications.
d) Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
