POSITION: ONE (1)
The County Director Fisheries will be responsible to the County Chief Officer in interpretation
and implementation of existing fisheries laws, rules and regulations and any other related laws that
may be enacted to guide fisheries function.
Duties and responsibilities
i. Supervise programmes, control and coordinate functions in the fisheries section and handle
administrative, human resource and asset management issues in the section;
ii. Develop, implement and evaluate relevant divisional structures, plans, programmes and
projects in the fisheries sector in the county;
iii. Oversee preparation of annual work plans and financial budget and coordinate activities by
scheduling work assignment, setting priorities and directing the work of subordinate
employees;
iv. Formulation of policies, procedures, plans and evaluation & enforcement of the fisheries
laws and regulations;
