Job Description
The Kenya Scouts Association is an educational Movement for young people, which
provides non-formal education that complements the core-curriculum offered in our
educational institutions. The Association is looking forward to recruit for the following
position.
ICT OFFICER
Kenya Scouts Association is seeking a professional, motivated, and committed individual
to join its team for a full time position based in Nairobi in the position of IT Officer. The
position is responsible for providing technical support to the organization ICT systems.
Duties will include;
1. To safeguard the information and Data security i.e. Confidentiality, Integrity and
Availability of information
2. Perform routine maintenance of the Association’s PCs and Laptops.
3. Monitor servers, LAN/WAN, and Wi-Fi to ensure full coverage
4. Respond to IT issues; hardware maintenance, software, networking, etc.
5. Provide helpdesk and technical support either by phone, remote access, or site
visits
6. Oversee troubleshooting for system errors
7. Set up equipment for new users and employees
8. Maintain the organization ICT inventory and provides support in procurement
of approved hardware and software in line with policies.
9. Manage the software licenses for and timely renewals and updated lifecycle
The ideal Candidate should have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Communication
Technology, or other ICT related disciplines.
- Have three years’ experience in the same or related capacity
- Proficiency in Computer applications
- High attention to detail and to high quality customer service
- Systematic approach to troubleshooting technical problems and finding the root
cause
- Have three years’ experience in the same capacity
- Excellent Interpersonal skills
