Duties and responsibilities;
Reporting to director water
Implementing irrigation projects;
Supervision and administration of staff
Survey, design and implement irrigation systems and infrastructures
liaise with other stakeholders on water infrastructure development
Development and identification, design and BOQ’S for irrigation component for water projects
Water projects implementation, supervision and management
Monitoring , Evaluation and Reporting of irrigation projects status
Administer projects implementation activities and advice on suitable irrigation Applications
Increase safe water accessibility through sustainable water systems
Build staff capacity on irrigation services activities and management
Provide electromechanical services
Repair and maintenance of irrigations system
Emergency response on drought flood issues
Any other lawful duties that may be assigned by supervisor from time to time.
Requirements for the appointment
Be a Kenyan Citizen;
Have a Bachelor’s Degree in a field of Agricultural Engineering /water ,Soil Mechanization/Farm
Power, Structures or any other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized
University;
Certificate in Computer Applications.
