QUALIFICATIONS,REQUIREMENTS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Requirements for appointment:-
i. Degree in Economics, Statistics, Finance or related field from a recognized
Institution;
ii. A master degree in the relevant field will be an added advantage;
iii. Knowledge and relevant work experience of not less than five (5) years;
iv. Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills;
v. Knowledge in use of Monitoring and Evaluation tools;
Duties and Responsibilities: -
i. Providing technical support to the county department of Finance and Economic Planning;
ii. Planning and other key stakeholders on economic planning issues.
iii. Supervise officers in his/her division and monitor projects across the department;
iv. Present findings through original published reports, articles, presentations, and other documentation on economic development for the county;
v. Collaborate with public and private entities to acquire new data, assist in the
vi. development of data gathering tools including surveys and questionnaires,
vii. acquisition of administrative data sets, and compilation of data from various data
viii. sources for use in research and statistical analysis;
ix. Apply knowledge of research methods and design in the social and behavioural sciences to create innovative, routine, and complex research studies;
x. Collect and present statistical data in form of survey reports and bulletin to inform the public on economic status of the County;
xi. Coordinate budget preparation; and
xii. Plan, monitor and evaluate performance of staff against the set targets
