QUALIFICATIONS,REQUIREMENTS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Basic Salary Scale: Ksh. 44,400.00 - 61,110.00 (CPSB 09)
House Allowance: Ksh. 22,000.00 p.m
Commuter Allowance: Ksh. 6,000.00 p.m.
Other Allowances as Per the SRC Circulars
Terms of Service: Three (3) Years Contract (Renewable)
Requirements for appointment:-
i. Bachelor of Education degree from a recognized institution; OR Bachelor of Arts/Science with Education from a recognized institution; OR Bachelor of Arts/ Science and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from a recognized institution;
ii. Knowledge and relevant work experience of not less than three (3) years;
iii. Proficiency in computer application skills from a recognized institution; and
iv. Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results
Duties and Responsibilities: -
i. Plan and carry out quality assurance and standards assessments;
ii. Disseminate quality assurance and standards assessment reports to educational institutions;
iii. Advise Education Boards on the standards of Education;
iv. Coordinate school activities and programs;
v. Organize skills upgrading for teachers;
vi. Organize and coordinate Co-curricular activities;
vii. Determine and report on the Education Quality Index;
viii. Guide, advise and appraise officers under their supervision; and
ix. Plan, monitor and evaluate performance of staff against the set targets.
