Job Description

The KCCB - General Secretariat is the National Administrative, facilitative and Coordinative arm through which
the Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops implements and co-ordinates various Pastoral programs at the
National level and undertakes all those responsibilities which express the mission of the Catholic Church in
Kenya. KCCB programs and activities are implemented through different Commissions, departments and
National Offices each with clear mandate from the Plenary Assembly.
KCCB - GS is seeking to recruit outstanding, dynamic and results oriented individuals to fill the following
positions.
PROPERTY, INVESTMENT AND INSTITUTIONS OFFICER

Job Summary
Responsible for the administration of KCCB Properties, investments and Institutions to ensure they are being
properly managed and maintained in an effective and efficient manner.

Duties and Responsibilities
1. Maintain proper updated records with regard to KCCB properties
2. Work with the Property Management firm to achieve occupancy goals and maintain in-depth
knowledge of the market drivers
3. Ensure that the inspection of KCCB rental properties is conducted within the KCCB Policies and an
inspection record is maintained and updated
4. Facilitate renewal of tenant and land property leases on time to avoid exposure.
5. Ensure timely payment of land rates and all statutory obligations are met and are up to date in liaison
with the Finance Manager
6. Ensure contracts of service providers are properly drawn , are current and implement sound review
process to ensure the service level Agreements are effective
7. Work with the Property Management firm to develop and implement appropriate mechanisms to
mitigate on defaulters on rent collection and protected tenants
8. Review tenant issues referred to KCCB by the Property Management firm and advise the General
Secretary appropriately
9. In liaison with Property Management firm and the KCCB Finance Manager, prepare monthly
operational and status reports and give updates on emerging issues on the properties.
10. Monitor and assess the maintenance and repair works within all the KCCB properties.
11. Ensure that yearly budgets for KCCB properties are done in line with projections and monitor
adherence to those projections
12. Monitor the implementation and compliance of policies and the general management of the KCCB
Institutions
13. Identify opportunities for making institutions self-reliant and similarly advise on investment
opportunities with regard to KCCB properties.
14. Research and advise on emerging market driven investment trends
15. Provide the necessary technical support in the identification of KCCB- GS investments projects

Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Experience
1. Bachelor’s Degree- Business Management or related field
2. MBA an added advantage
3. Minimum 5years’ experience on similar job
4. Good Interpersonal and Communication skills
5. Customer care and good negotiation skills
6. Financial planning and budgeting skills
7. Risk Management Skills
