Job Description

Reservoir Engineer (3 Positions) Job Grade 6 (Permanent And Pensionable) REF : 26 / 8 / 2023

Qualifications
1. A Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following: Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geology or equivalent qualification from a recognized university;
2. Membership in good standing of a relevant professional body, where applicable; and
3. Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.

Responsibilities
1. Checking on reservoir engineering studies made by oil companies as well as the development and application of reservoir optimization techniques;
2. Working within a multi-discipline team environment to review reservoir data, analysis and calculations, and apply models to characterize reservoir or field properties;
3. Reviewing economic evaluations as well as field evaluation, development and planning, and decline curve analysis;
4. Predicting and evaluate water flood and enhanced recovery performance;
5. Check on activities to optimize producing assets from a reservoir perspective carrying out reservoir simulation studies to optimize recoveries;
6. Developing reservoir performance prediction, cost-effective monitoring and surveillance programs and prepare estimates of in-place hydrocarbon volume;
7. Reviewing surveillance, analysis and provide direction on subsurface engineering required for proper reservoir management of assets; and
8. Checking on reservoir and production due diligence performed on potential farm-ins and acquisitions, developing and applying reservoir optimization techniques.
