QUALIFICATIONS,REQUIREMENTS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Basic Salary Scale: Ksh. 26,900.00- 35,380.00 (CPSB 11)
House Allowance: Ksh. 4,500 p.m
Commuter Allowance: Ksh. 4,000 p.m.
Other Allowances as Per the SRC Circulars
Terms of Service: Three (3) Years Contract (Renewable)
Requirements For appointment:-
i. A Diploma in Civil Engineering or its equivalent from a recognized institution;
ii. Possess a current valid practicing certificate;
iii. Membership to a relevant professional body
Duties and Responsibilities: -
i. Undertake site investigation, prepare civil structural drawings, design specification of buildings, roads, foot bridges and river protection works;
ii. Assisting in collecting data on road inventory;
iii. Prepare and maintain site records and other road work records and submit weekly and monthly reports;
iv. Undertake supervision of works in progress;
v. Ensure specification and standards are adhered to during construction
vi. Prepare cost estimates and schedule of materials for simple road constructions on labour contracts; and
vii. Prepare tender documents for civil works, supervision of construction of buildings, foot bridges and river protection works.
