QUALIFICATIONS,REQUIREMENTS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Basic Salary Scale: Ksh. 26,900.00- 35,380.00 (CPSB 11)
House Allowance: Ksh. 4,500 p.m
Commuter Allowance: Ksh. 4,000 p.m.
Other Allowances as Per the SRC Circulars
Terms of Service: Three (3) Years Contract (Renewable)
Requirements For appointment:-
i. Diploma in Early Childhood Development and Education offered by KNEC or its approved equivalent;
ii. Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) minimum grade C (Plain), or its approved equivalent;
OR
iii. Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) minimum grade D+ (Plus), or its approved equivalent plus Certificate in Early Childhood Development and Education offered by KNEC or Ministry of Education or its approved equivalent;
iv. Registered by the Teachers Service Commission;
Duties and Responsibilities: -
i. Class teaching;
ii. Role model, guide and counsel, mentor and motivate learners;
iii. Prepare monthly reports;
iv. Ensure the safety and security of the learners;
v. Identify, initiate, develop and facilitate play learning activities that will enable learners enjoy living and learning through play;
vi. Develop relevant play/learning materials for all learners;
vii. Prepare and develop schemes of work, lesson plans, Record of Work and daily programme of activities, assessment and evaluation of learners’ progress and keep professional records.
