Job Description

REGISTERED CLINICAL OFFICER H V/NO. KCPSB/11/2021/28 (10 POSITIONS)
Terms of Service: 3-year contract
Remuneration: Consolidated salary of Ksh. 50,0O0 per month

Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade a candidate must have:-
i. Have a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) Mean Grade C
ii. Have a Diploma in Clinical Medicine or its equivalent from Kenya Medical Training College or any other recognized Medical Training Institution
iii. Certificate of registration from the Clinical Officers Council;
iv. A valid professional Practicing license from the Clinical Officers’ Council and
v. Certificate in Computer applications

Duties and responsibilities-
An officer at this level will work under the guidance of an experienced Clinical Officer or Medical Officer. Duties and responsibilities at this level will include:-
i. Seeing and examining patients;
ii. Diagnosing and treating patients’ ailments at an outpatient department in a Hospital or Health Centre;
iii. Assisting in planning and conducting primary health care activities;
iv. Giving support and health education to patients;
v. Coaching students attached to hospitals and health centers; and
vi. Supervising and counselling a small number of staff engaged on routine patient’s care
