Requirements for Appointment
For appointment in this position a candidate must:
1. Be a Kenyan citizen;
2. Have a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B; CH.B.) from an
institution, recognized by KMPDB;
3. Have successfully completed one-year internship from a recognized institution;
4. Be registered with Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board; and,
5. Have a certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution.
Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:
1. Clinical duties in Sub County Hospital;
2. Teaching and supervision of health workers;
3. Performing medical and surgical procedures;
4. Preparing and responding to emergencies and disasters;
5. Outreach clinics and surgeries in the county hospitals; and,
6. Assist in the policy formulization.
