MEDICAL SPECIALIST [2] – RADIOLOGIST, JOB GROUP “P” – ONE (1)
POST
Requirements for appointment
i. Be a Kenyan citizen;
ii. Be a holder of a Degree of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of
Surgery (MB;Ch.B.) from a University recognized in Kenya
iii. Must have completed a Master’s Degree in Radiology from a
University recognized in Kenya
iv. Registered as a Medical Specialist Practitioner by Medical
Practitioners and Dentist Council
v. Have a Valid Practicing License
vi. Be of acceptable moral and professional standing
vii. Willing to undertake duties Physically in any part of Tharaka Nithi
County as they will be assigned from time to time
viii. Certificate in computer application skills from an Institution
recognized in Kenya
Duties and responsibilities
The Radiologist will be responsible to the employer and the supervisor for
the following;
i. Apply the principles and procedures of modern medicine in
preventing, diagnosing, caring for and treating illnesses, diseases
and injuries;
ii. Provide Medical Imaging reports to other Medical Personnel
iii. Supervise the implementation of care and treatment plans by other
medical personnel
iv. Head of Radiology and Imaging Diagnostics Department in the
County
v. Advise the County on Radiological and Imaging Diagnosis from
time to time.
vi. Conduct medical education and research activities in clinical area
of work
vii. Participate in the development of procedures for the department
viii. Make decisions regarding work processes based on established
guidelines
ix. Prioritize and organize work to meet changing conditions and any
other roles and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to
time
x. Any other duty that may be assigned by the supervisor.
